Is the NomadView portable monitor compatible with my device?
Yes — the NomadView 15.6” monitor is compatible with all laptops and desktop computers, including Windows, macOS, and Linux systems. It can also connect to tablets and smartphones that support DisplayPort Alt Mode via USB-C.
You can easily connect using either the included USB-C cable (for power and video on supported devices) or the HDMI cable (for video) combined with a USB-C power connection. This ensures smooth compatibility whether you’re using a MacBook, HP, Dell, or any modern device with a USB-C or HDMI port.
How does the NomadView monitor get power?
The NomadView 15.6” monitor can be powered in two different ways, depending on your setup.
For most modern laptops, a single USB-C cable is enough — it delivers power and video at once, without the need for an external power source.
If your device doesn’t support power over USB-C or you’re using an HDMI connection, simply plug the monitor into an external USB-C power adapter (included in the box).
The NomadView also supports Power Delivery (PD) passthrough up to 40W, meaning you can connect your laptop’s charger directly to the monitor, and it will power both the screen and your laptop simultaneously.
All necessary cables and the power brick are included in the box for maximum convenience.
Can I use it as a second screen for travel or remote work?
Absolutely. Its slim design, foldable stand, and included magnetic cover make it ideal for remote work, business trips, or café setups. Just plug it into your laptop via USB-C or HDMI and enjoy a dual-screen workspace anywhere.
